© Morzine Tourist Office Morzine-Avoriaz, in the heart of the Portes du Soleil ski area, is one of the most accessible ski resorts in the French Alps. The close proximity of Morzine to Geneva airport, Switzerland means that the journey overall is very short. Flights to Geneva from the UK can be as little as 1 hour 20 minutes and the short transfer time of just over an hour makes Morzine-Avoriaz an ideal holiday destination for both families and adult groups alike. The sooner you are here, the sooner you are on your skis or snowboard and up on the snowcapped mountains.
Airline companies change their flight plans regularly, but the following airlines operate flights to Geneva during the winter months, from the UK and Ireland.
easyJet overall, seems to be the most economical and flexible airline to come with and has flights to Geneva from many regional airports.
However, it’s probably worth checking a few of the other airlines out too, as there can be surprising offers in low season. British Airways, for example, may come up just as competitively priced with more flexible flight times, particularly in high season. It’s worth having a look around.
Flight comparison websites are also a useful tool, such as Skyscanner or Kayak. These sites often give you options that you may not have thought of.
Sometimes it is cheaper to fly out with one airline and back with another; for example, Easyjet on the outbound from Gatwick and then British Airways back into Gatwick. If you aren’t leaving a car at a UK airport and flexible enough with UK travel you could even do your inbound and outbound flights from different UK airports; for example Jet2 out of Leeds Bradford but back with Easyjet to Manchester. Worth a look!
Transfers are not automatically included in the holiday price at Chalet Morzine. We realise you are independent travellers and prefer to tailor your holiday as you wish. However, should you wish to have an airport transfer, we can book this all for you with our preferred, reliable taxi companies. We pass on all our preferential rates directly to our customers. You pay what we pay!
For large groups, we use Taxi Morzine as they have an excellent large minibus that can take up to 15 passengers, so you can all travel together.
For smaller parties, we use Ski Lifts, who provide very economical shared transfer rates.

Chalet Morzine Top Tip!
Book your car on the Swiss side and not the French side
If you opt to drive to Morzine, the average journey time from Calais takes around 9 hours and is approx 550 miles. Morzine is situated about 20 miles off the main A40/E25 motorway that leads to the Chamonix Mont Blanc Tunnel. Tolls one-way price up at around 70 Euros with an average petrol cost of 80 Euros (diesel is cheaper, but overall prices are now similar to the UK). Out of the 550 miles, 525 miles are pure motorway.
Once here we have parking for up to 5 cars. However, as Chalet Morzine is in such a fantastic location, you won’t need to use the car at all. You are merely a stone’s throw away from everything, so all you need is your legs and your skis.
