For the last 13 years we have been working closely with Bernard Fournet and his son Lionel, in their family run ski and snowboard shop, Star Ski. They are both fully qualified ski instructors and Bernard is a renowned local specialist in solving that ever familiar problem ‘a comfortable ski boot’ (which to many is a contradiction in terms).

Ski equipment delivery

Once you are satisfied that all your equipment fits and is ready to go, you can do two things:

Star Ski can deliver all of the equipment back up to the chalet for you. This is really convenient on a Sunday arrival day, giving you a chance to meander around the village, without having to drag any ski equipment around. It’s a good idea also, to have the skis at the chalet if you intend to ski in and out of Chalet Morzine.

Or you can leave your ski equipment in the shop for the week on their professional boot dryers and ski racks. This way, you simply collect and drop off your skis or snowboard on your way to the slopes and back. A great choice if you prefer to stay in the village for a while after skiing.

Want to buy your ski boots?

Fed up of renting and want to buy some of your own ‘comfortable’ ski boots? Bernard is very happy to let you ski for a day or two with a rental pair, but if you then buy them… your rental is free!

Chalet Morzine Top Tip! You get what you pay for in terms of equipment and the blisters just aren’t worth it. Cheap internet offers usually mean the cheapest underserviced equipment; your knees and body deserve more
