Catered Holiday - FAQ's

Once I book my holiday, what happens next?

Once you send us through your deposit we will liaise with you to help you book the following:

This must be done well in advance. Especially ski school which can get booked out a year in advance.

Do I get any discounts on the above?

Yes. We will let you avail of our tour operator rates for cheaper transfers, ski passes and ski hire.

Do I have to collect my own ski passes?

No. We will get your ski passes for you and have them ready for you at the chalet on arrival.

How does ski hire work?

We liaise with Star Ski Sports where all our customers get discounted rates. You can pre-book your ski’s and boots online and then go to the shop and try on your boots on arrival.
You are also welcome to leave your skis and boots here at the end of the day instead of walking back to the chalet with them. We know how tired the children can be at the end of a long day skiing!
To book we advise you to go straight to their website.

This is my first ski holiday with the children, what should I expect, and bring?

Once the children have reached the age of three, you don’t have to book childcare, they can actually start to learn to ski! To see an example day please see our Skiing with Children page.

What clothing should I bring.

Please see our list of suggested clothing and equipment here.

The following is free of charge and always at hand if needed:

Are you flexible with dinner times?

Yes. At the start of the week we will agree on a time for dinner. If on the Monday you decide that is too early/late, you can talk with our chef and rearrange a suitable dinner time for the rest of the week.

What is included in the rooms?

How big are the rooms?

Here at Chalet Morzine our rooms are very spacious. This is how we differ from most other chalets in resort which are purpose built chalets for the ski tourism. Not only do we pride ourselves on our space, but also on our soundproofing. This is no purpose build wooden chalet with thin rickety walls, this is a bonus which encourages a healthy atmosphere amongst guests!

You a chalet floor plan and all our room descriptions here.

Is there free WIFI?

Yes.

Do you cater for children?

Absolutely. Due to Chalet Morzine being a fabulous family chalet, not only do we have a fully equipped games room we also provide you with the necessary facilities for your young children:

To give you more of an idea of what we provide for you, please refer to our Travelling with Children page.

What is in the games room?

Where will we store our ski’s?

We have a massive garage that we use to hold up to 16 bikes in the summer. There is no need to worry about space here at Chalet Morzine!

Is there a drying room?

Yes. We have a dedicated drying room for your snow gear at the end of that snowy day.

Is there a chalet night off?

Yes. Thursday is the day where both our chef and host take to the slopes and enjoy a day off.  Before your arrival we will book your restaurant of choice for that Thursday night.  There will be a full continental breakfast laid out that morning with fresh bread and croissants, just no cooked food. However, we do ask you kindly to clear the table and put the dishwasher on. There is no room service on this day.

What is there to do if I don’t ski?

There are plenty of things to do in Morzine if you are a non-skier, or if you just want to take a break from the slopes. We have a whole webpage dedicated to this.
