Morzine-Avoriaz is a great place to base yourself for a golfing holiday, with two fantastic golf courses in resort and many just under an hour’s drive away. A great activity for any young budding golfer too, with lessons for children in English at most of the golf courses.
In the heart of the Portes du Soleil, in fantastic mountain surroundings, the Les Gets Golf Course is really impressive. It’s a fairly technical golf course and has many holes named after the nearby peaks; Mont Blanc being the most impressive of this line up. If you think you might like golf, but not sure where to start, then the club offers excellent packages for beginners, including children. There are plenty of golf buggies to help you get around the course and there is a great club house too. Enjoy a delicious meal on the terrace and admire the stunning Alpine scenery.
