Family watching cascading water

Guest comments

Having been in business now for over 10 years, we have collected some lovely comments over the various seasons. If you would like to leave a comment, then please feel free to either visit tripadvisor or send us an email that we can stick in our book (if you haven’t already written in it). We look forward to hearing your thoughts on your self-catered summer activity holiday at Chalet Morzine.

“We stayed with Lindsey and Thierry at their lovely chalet in Morzine. Morzine is situated in an ideal location to explore the French Alps with Mont Blanc / Chamonix, Lake Annecy and Lake Geneva only a scenic 1 hour’s drive away. Locally we found plenty to do in Morzine, with great facilities such as an Olympic size outdoor swimming pool, ice rink and many walks to suit all ages and abilities. In all this was probably the best holiday that our family has had outside America.”Peter & June, Jersey

“Just got back from a 3 night stay at Chalet Morzine and couldn’t really ask for anymore. Super relaxed, great location, clean rooms, good breakfast, and really friendly hosts! We were 4 lads on a mountain bike holiday and everything was there for us, a drying room for bike gear, a garage to store and fix bikes and the honesty bar was an absolute god send at the end of a hard day’s riding. Lindsey and Thierry were great, they left us alone to do our own thing but were always there if we needed anything!”Simon Parkes, Liverpool

“Our party consisted of 6 people, 4 of whom were participating in the Portes du Soleil mountain bike challenge. Lindsey was very efficient and helpful with all my requests prior to our trip such as organising transfers. When we got there both she and her husband Thierry were very friendly and welcoming. We had a lovely dinner cooked by Sarah who came in and helped with the catering. I was the only vegetarian and was fed as well as the others. Breakfast was a choice of cereals, breads, fruit, yoghurt and cooked eggs, bacon etc. Plenty of it and delicious. There was a kettle available all the time with complimentary tea and coffee plus a fridge with various cold drinks and snacks to buy on an honesty system.

“Our room was very clean, comfortable and had plenty of space. The Chalet is very well placed in Morzine – near the centre and both ski lifts but far enough away from the road to be quiet and with lovely views. There was a garage available for bikes/skis.

“Another mountain biking party joined us much later that evening due to a bike being lost en route! One of their party had a nasty incident during the ride the next day and ended up in hospital with a fractured cheekbone for the rest of the stay. Lindsey was very helpful in arranging communication with the hospital, arranging taxis etc.

“On our final day we didn’t leave for the airport until 7pm and as there were no more guests coming in that night we kept the room which was very useful for showering and we carried on using the other facilities. Overall I would highly recommend this Chalet for summer or winter and would like to thank Lindsey, Thierry and Sarah for their great accommodation, friendliness and lovely food.”Mary, Shrewsbury

“I have just spent a week at Chalet Morzine mountain biking with a group of friends. The chalet is spotless, and of top quality throughout. My bedroom was comfortable, with ensuite and I think all the rooms have balcony views. Thierry and Lindsey simply cannot do enough for you. One of our group was unfortunately injured on his bike, and Lindsey was absolutely fantastic at helping out phoning the hospital, finding us taxis, even negotiating prices on our behalf. The food is fabulous too. I have had some mixed experiences of chalets in the past, and Chalet Morzine has really turned my views round. It was great to chat with them in the evenings. Overall, I would also say that it made for a very decent value holiday as well.”Mike, Wales

“Stayed in August 2010 as one of a group of families with children ageing from 1 to 10. The chalet was really child friendly, good outdoor space for the kids to play in and great children’s teas provided separately from the adult dinner later. The rooms were comfortable and pleasantly contemporary. Lindsey and Thierry were so welcoming and helpful, making sure we knew everything that was going on in the area so that we made the most of our time there. Morzine has so much to offer as a summer holiday location, we did horse riding, ice skating, swimming, walking, high wire climbing (like go-ape), and some of the party went mountain biking. Despite all that it has to offer the kids were often happy to stay at the chalet because of the trampoline and outdoor space, with huge outdoor terrace and dining area. The food was great – not all cheese fondues and raclette as you sometimes find in the Alps, but a real mix. I can’t recommend either Chalet Morzine or Morzine as a destination enough.”Ian, Manchester
